We can reupholster all areas, including side padding, centre dividers and bum bars.

HFTR general repairs include floors, tailgates, padding, steel structural supports, outside and inside body including rust removal and treatment. Health and safety checks are part of our everyday life. We identify areas of concern such as soft tailgates, floors, structural rust, bearings, drawbars, brakes and electrical. When replacing flooring we only use Australian hardwood 40ml. There are alternative products in the marketplace, but our hardwood flooring has proven to be the most superior with a lifespan of over 40 years. Generally, our clients request non-slip rubber that must be both durable with additional matting inside. We source our rubber from an Australian manufacturer, and it ticks all the boxes.

HFTR float upgrades is an ever-growing area of our business. Fabrication of lift rear doors, barn doors and storage solutions are not often sold with a basic model float, regardless of the cost. Our team can custom build multiple extras for your float. From lift doors to side enclosed storage units. These are not available to simply buy as a readymade product off the shelf. Our lift doors are fabricated to include a ventilation latch allowing the door to remain open when traveling. The roof vents or whirlybirds coupled with the addition of our ventilation latch allow air flow throughout the float making it an easier journey for your equine road warriors. Tailgates do not have to weigh you down. We fabricate and fit custom struts suited to your lift ability. Why not make your lift that little bit easier? If you are a camper at horse events then you would be expecting a dry, enclosed float to camp out in. Swing out tack boxes take up precious space……we fabricate bracketing allowing your swing out tack box to remain outside when the tailgate is up. Installation of new side windows to fully enclose your float is a must for the “overnighter”. New front polycarbonate windows and resealing leaks. New LED lights, internal lights, external lights, replacement batteries, rocker roller suspension, axle replacement, new aluminium checker-plate or new custom decals, HFTR has you covered. Need a little more roof insulation? The team can install internal roof felted carpet too. Just another added touch to make your camp out more comfortable and help prevent the effects of condensation.

HFTR custom conversions is where our skill shines. The Internal layout of a float is not always ideally laid out to suit you. Clients have a good understanding of making the most of their space. Our team have modified floats from 2HAL to 1HSL or 2HSL to 1HAL plus storage or 3HAL to suit multiple transportation of minis. Our custom conversions enable clients to see their vision become reality. Surprisingly, storage is limited in many floats. The team can measure and build front cupboard storage, internal pull our saddle racks, side custom enclosed (with gas struts) storage, front enclosed storage or close off the front area of your float allowing a space separation between your kitchen/storage from the horses. HFTR can convert floats to carry minis in safety We fabricate removable/adjustable chest bars, dividers add rubber drops Easily converted back to the original set up for larger horses when required. Custom Stallions dividers, also removable and adjustable, are fabricated on-site. Wider bum bars and centre dividers, replacement of internal side timber, breach doors, full height tailgates, raise roof height and fabricate new cross members – all part of the scope by the team at HFTR.

HFTR Servicing and Maintenance for your float is essential to on-going safety, and peace of mind when towing. Not just for you and your family but also to your equine road warriors. We suggest a regular safety check and service at least once a year, preferably every 6 months if you are a regular user. Our team conduct a thorough health check and full service to include (but not limited to):

• Suspension, springs, shackles, bearings, wheel hubs, floor and tailgate, tyres and rims, lights, fittings, and connections, handbrake cable and hitch. All moving components are checked and greased as required.
• Further repairs required are explained and discussed with each client prior to any additional work being commenced.
